SEO positioning is one of the most used terms in digital marketing. But what is it? And how can I use it to position my website?
SEO refers to Search Engine Optimization, or what is the same, to organic positioning (without paying) in internet search engines like Google. As we have explained many times in this blog and in the Entrepreneur Vlog, one of the most common strategies to improve SEO positioning is content marketing. But within the same strategy, there are different techniques that we’re going to comment on:
A technique based on getting a page from your same sector, but better positioned than yours, put links that point to your content. These links, Google recognizes them as recommendations; so if you get a better-positioned website than yours, to recommend your content, you can upload a few positions at once.
This technique is the basis on which anyone should depart if they intend to improve their SEO positioning. What is the use of optimizing your website, if your keywords do not generate searches? To do this, make a list of the keywords you want to position and use tools such as Google Trends to determine the level of search generated by it.
TAKE CARE OF THE REBOUND PERCENTAGE
The bounce refers to the number of users who enter your web page but leave immediately without any interaction. That is usually because the title of the post has nothing to do with the content. The higher your bounce rate, the worse position you will be in search engines.
ON PAGE SEO OPTIMIZATION
Once you have determined which keywords you want to position, use them in all the content you generate; in the title, the subtitles, the meta-description, the tags, … For this, you can help yourself with tools or plug-ins like YOAST SEO.
Enter keywords that make sense with the content in the URL slug, but make sure it is not too long. If necessary, use only the keywords to reduce their size.
