Animation or Video-blog what to choose for our content marketing strategy?
You have already implemented a content marketing strategy by creating your company’s blog. And now you want to take advantage of the high return on investment that the video offers to this strategy. But … doubt often assaults us when we must decide what kind of video format we want for our strategy; a video with animated graphics, or a video in which someone explains the content to the camera.
Surely you’ve seen animated videos like the one we created in Stickman Media about Video Content Marketing. It is an attractive, dynamic video that provides useful data, … but … it is a totally empty video that does not really transmit anything.
This is because this kind of videos, however appealing they may seem, are more of a commercial tool than a content one. They serve to provide sales arguments in an attractive way. Unfortunately, little can help us to position our brand on the Internet.
A video-blog on the other hand (such as the Entrepreneur Vlog for example), what is it that makes the difference between the animated information in graphics, and the one that a person can really give voice? The key is the empathic connection effect that occurs.
The fact of being able to see a person of flesh and bone, who thinks and feels, behind a brand, makes it, in the eyes of the beholder, a more human mark. And in the end, users want to connect with people, not brands. Hence the influencers ‘success and influencers’ marketing.
That the user, in addition to being able to receive the information that interests him, can have an empathic connection in which who speaks in the video seems to him a professional who knows what he is talking about, who likes him, or appeals to him,… take us to a phase in which we begin to build trust, vital to be able to convert users into consumers.
So, consider buying a camera and losing the shame to speak before her and … cameras, lights, action!
